G.G. (Gwen) Carbone has enjoyed nature's incredible gifts, particulary birds, since childhood. Her backyard is home to numerous birds, including chickadees, crows, hummingbirds, owls, robins, pileated woodpeckers, wild turkeys, and wrens. She lives in New England.

Over the years, G.G. has traveled in the United States and abroad, grateful for guidance and messages from birds. She is a member of the Audubon Society, the Nature Conservancy, and the Cornell Lab of Ornithology. For twenty-five years she has conducted and continues to conduct auction fund-raising events to raisee thousands of dollars for nonprofit organizations.

For her next book, G.G. is collecting personal inspirational bird stories. Perhaps someone you know has taken care of or rescued a bird. Or maybe you know someone who has passed on and a bird became the symbol of that person to give you a message in your life.
